Mentoring & Book Coaching
The Manuscript Agency offers mentoring programs and book coaching to provide authors with the opportunity to work collaboratively with a trained industry professional to gather feedback on your writing and further sculpt your work with support. We take clients on for mentorships at all stages of their writing.
Mentorships and book coaching suit authors who are in the earlier stages of their manuscript’s development where the author needs more support and guidance than an appraisal or editing can offer at this stage.
Each mentorship looks different, depending on the author’s needs and the manuscript itself. Each mentorship starts with an objective, but the process is fluid and will follow the path that requires the most exploration. All mentorships will be conducted with MAA Director, Kit Carstairs
Mentoring and book coaching are price on application and are considered on a client-by-client basis.
For more information about mentoring, please do not hesitate to reach out to Kit (kit@manuscriptagency.com.au).
How mentoring works…
No two mentorships will look the same. However, before deciding whether mentoring is right for you, I like to start with a telephone chat. This gives me a chance to find out more about you, your goals, where you are at in your writing journey and what you would like to achieve from working together. And it gives you a chance to see if I am the right fit for you and your working style, as well as ask all your burning questions.
Once we’ve had our initial kick-off call and I’ve had the ‘interested thumbs-up’ from you,
I will pop together a proposal for how I feel we might work together, along with the nitty gritty of what it will cost. This is a no-obligation proposal.
If you like the sound of the proposal, then we can start the ball rolling on working together
to achieve your writing goals.
If this sounds like something you’d be interested in then I would love to hear from you!
